This business is looking for a Head of Finance who can roll their sleeves up and own both the low-level transactions as well as high-level Head of Finance responsibilities.

The Role

This company is looking for a part-time permanent Head of Finance in a stand-alone end-to-end role with the following key responsibilities:

  • Build Executive-Style Board Reports: Develop and present financial and operational metrics and commentary to the Board of Directors.
  • Improve Cash Flow Modelling: Enhance cash flow planning, monitoring, and forecasting to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Future Capital Raising: Play a key role in securing future capital or debt funding to support the company's growth.
  • International Expansion: Set up the company for success in numerous international jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with tax, financial, and administrative requirements.
  • Contract Review: Review contracts to ensure commercial terms are favorable and minimize risk and costs.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Provide commercial advice on contract manufacturing, supply chain, and inventory optimization.
  • M&A Activities: Potentially drive future M&A activities to support the company's growth strategy.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain improved forecast and budget models, as well as critical reporting, including non-financial metrics.
  • Risk and Governance: Own risk and governance, ensuring the company's financial stability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Transactional Finance: Own transactional finance, including payroll, BAS, A/R, A/P, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • R&D Tax Rebate: Drive the R&D tax rebate annual process to ensure the company maximizes its tax benefits.
  • Banking Arrangements: Manage the banking arrangements to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Policies and Procedures: Create and maintain policies and procedure documentation to ensure the company's financial stability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance who can:

  • Be CA or CPA qualified.
  • Have 10+ years of relevant experience in finance, preferably in a manufacturing or inventory-based business.
  • Be hands-on and able to perform all aspects of finance, from transactional to executive-level responsibilities.
  • Have experience with MYOB and other financial software.
  • Have experience in an international business environment.
  • Have strong cash flow experience and be able to drive financial stability.
  • Have experience with equity or debt raising.
  • Have a strong presence with the Board of Directors and investors.
  • Be willing to work part-time with flexibility for additional days depending on the company's growth stage.
  • Be proactive and a true leader.
