Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join our mining team in Unanderra.

  • The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification as a diesel mechanic or similar, and previous experience with underground or surface mining equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on diesel-powered mining equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs on LHDs and Drift Runners.
  • Replace or refurbish components as part of planned maintenance.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient worksite while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification as a diesel mechanic or similar.
  • Previous experience with underground or surface mining equipment (highly desirable).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening.
  • Forklift license (preferred).
  • Other relevant tickets or licenses are a bonus.
