Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including LHDs and Drift Runners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on heavy equipment
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs on diesel-powered mining equipment
  • Maintain a safe and efficient worksite while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as a diesel mechanic or similar
  • Previous experience with underground or surface mining equipment (highly desirable)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive work ethic
  • Excellent communication and a team-first attitude
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & drug screening
  • Forklift licence (preferred)
