About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Professional to lead our Digital Solutions team in Canberra. This strategic role is pivotal to our success, focusing on driving pre-sales success and fostering a world-class team of technology experts.

The successful candidate will be at the forefront of client engagement and team development. Key responsibilities include:

  • Pre-Sales & Solution Leadership: Act as the senior technical authority in pre-sales engagements, collaborating with sales and account teams to design compelling and commercially viable solutions for clients. Lead bid responses, client presentations, and workshops.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of professionals. Responsible for their performance, career development, and overall well-being. Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation.
  • National Alignment & Collaboration: Work closely with National Practice Leads to ensure national strategy, standards, and methodologies are successfully implemented within the team, while providing local insights to shape our national approach.
  • Capability Development: Define the strategic direction for digital solutions. Ensure offerings remain at the cutting edge by identifying emerging technologies, contributing to service catalogues, and building essential skills within the team.
  • Strategic Growth: Drive growth by contributing to the go-to-market strategy, identifying new opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Workforce Enhancement: Oversee workforce planning, utilisation, and recruitment to ensure the right people with the right skills deliver on project pipelines and strategic goals.

  • Previous experience working for an SI or technology services company supporting government clients required.
  • Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role, managing high-performing teams within professional services environments.
  • Pre-Sales Expertise: A strong track record of success in pre-sales or solution architecture, leading complex bids and proposals.
  • Broad Technical Credibility: Strong understanding and strategic view across at least two areas:
    • Digital Applications (e.g., custom development, cloud-native apps, microservices)
    • QA & Testing (e.g., test automation, performance engineering)
    • Data & AI (e.g., data platforms, analytics, machine learning)
  • Exceptional Communication & Collaboration Skills: Ability to articulate complex concepts to stakeholders and collaborate effectively across business units.
  • Canberra-Based: Must be based in Canberra or willing to relocate.
