About the Role

This is a key position within our billing and credits team, responsible for accurate and timely analysis and reconciliation of supplier invoices, customer invoice generation, and general reporting on billing and credit related activities. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively deal with large volumes of transactions from multiple data sources.

We are seeking an individual who can quickly adapt to new systems and processes, with a continuous improvement mindset and excellent interpersonal skills. This role demands a high level of independence, with the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Generate customer invoices and maintain accurate records
  • Provide general reporting on billing and credit related activities
  • Investigate discrepancies and lodge credit claims with suppliers as necessary
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Knowledge and experience in the Australian logistics industry, preferably with an understanding of freight rate and surcharge structures
  • Experience in billing processes, including supplier invoice reconciliation and credit management
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation
