
Palliative Healthcare Researcher

The National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health plays a pivotal role in advancing healthcare by bringing together leading experts, resources, and research to inform best practice, drive innovation, and support equitable access to quality health services.
- Support multidisciplinary research in palliative healthcare for people with intellectual disability in collaboration with the South-Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
- Provide research and technical assistance across all stages of the project, including study design, data management and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and preparation of reports, publications, and ethics applications.
- Contribute to inclusive research practices, supporting the meaningful involvement of people with intellectual disability, and ensuring high standards of research integrity and collaboration throughout the project.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A university degree in health, medicine, or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training or experience.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of the principles of codesign and/or inclusive research.
- Knowledge of research protocols, experimental design and planning as involved in developing research projects and reporting against milestones.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Nvivo, SPSS, Microsoft Office Suite, and EndNote.
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal communication skills to initiate and maintain effective stakeholder relationships whilst exercising discretion and confidentiality.
