
Expert Palliative Care Specialist

This is a fixed-term, part-time 0.5 FTE contract for a Specialist Palliative Care position in Southern NSW.
The role can be Fly-in - Fly-out with flights and accommodation fully covered.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality specialist Palliative Care services to patients across Southern NSW.
- Maintain professional competence in Palliative Care.
- Work within healthcare teams and with other senior medical staff in a cooperative manner.
- Undertake teaching of medical students and trainee doctors, and research in Palliative Care as opportunities arise.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) or Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
- Experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Palliative Care Medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate medical care as evidenced by recent practice experience in working collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to work with teams to support their capacity to deliver services.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement and clinical risk management; seek out improvements to service delivery; initiate change and consult those affected by it.
- Demonstrate ongoing professional development and a commitment to education and research.
- A valid Driver's Licence in NSW.
