About the Role

The Swim School Coordinator is a key position within the YMCA NSW Recreation Team, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of aquatics programs, including the YMCA NSW Swim School program, Schools Swimming lessons, and Lane Hire.

The successful applicant will have a firm knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the YMCA NSW Swim School program, educational trends, and industry development.

This is a rewarding and fulfilling role based in a friendly, community-minded facility, requiring an energetic, motivated person who is not afraid to use their own ideas and initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of aquatics programs
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve program quality and participation
  • Manage budgets and KPIs to ensure program sustainability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including staff, members, and community groups

Requirements

  • Passion for teaching swimming and aquatics
  • Experience in managing and leading teams
  • Knowledge of budget and KPI management
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification
  • Working with Children Check
