The Technical Officer will provide expert technical service and advice to support the functions and users of the laboratories and workspaces. This role will be responsible for maintaining and demonstrating the operation of laboratory equipment and instruments, while also providing technical support to staff and students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise and support to staff and students in the use of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Maintain and demonstrate the operation of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Contribute to the maintenance and operation of instrumentation, laboratories, and supporting facilities.
- Prepare and set up material and equipment for clinical practice classes.
- Provide technical support to staff and students in the implementation of digital technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in nursing teaching laboratories or relevant nursing industry-related experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of current nursing practice, including the use of appropriate equipment in nursing procedures and clinical environments.
- Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining nursing simulation laboratory-based instruments and equipment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with a diverse range of people from various backgrounds.
- Demonstrated understanding of current OH&S legislation with knowledge of other field or industry regulations or standards related to the field within the scope of the service area.
