About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Technical Services – Film and Media team as a Media Production Technical Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support for teaching in higher education where this expertise is required, as well as providing support for university staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and support to university staff and students on digital media production equipment and software.
  • Support specific facilities including digital media equipment store / loans office, production orientated classrooms, recording suites and studios.
  • Assist with the production of video, audio and still materials as required.
  • Stay current with new and emerging technologies within media production.
  • Provide excellent customer service and constant improvement.
About You

To be suitable for this role, you will need to have experience in the following key areas:

  • Technical ability / experience with digital media production equipment including video, film, photography, audio, and lighting gear.
  • Knowledge of industry workflows around media post-production.
  • Experience with professional post-production hardware and software, including software from Adobe, Apple, Blackmagic and AVID.
  • Excellent organizational skills, in particular with loan and booking systems and asset tracking.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications

Associate diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience OR, a certificate level qualification with post-certificate relevant work experience OR, an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
