About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Road Transport Mechanic to join our team at Ready Resources. As a Heavy Road Transport Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy road transport equipment, ensuring that our vehicles are in top condition and ready for operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair heavy road transport equipment, including trucks and prime movers
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with heavy road transport equipment
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in heavy road transport maintenance and repair
- AUS/NZ recognized trade certificate
- Mine site experience essential
- Experience with various trucks and prime movers, including Toyota, Isuzu, Volvo, Scania, and Kenworth
- Competent with pneumatic brake systems (desirable)
- Hydraulic experience (desirable)
- FMG inducted (preferred but not essential)
- WAH/Forklift ticket (desirable)
- Valid driver's license
- 100% commitment to safety, quality, and best practice
