Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Prime Mover Technician to join our team at Heavy Industrial Solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to work on a variety of prime movers and rigids in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $45-$55 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a solid compensation package, we offer superannuation on all hours worked, meal allowance, and excellent work/life balance.

Responsibilities

As a Prime Mover Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks, including:

  • Steering and suspension repairs
  • Electrical faults diagnosis and repairs
  • Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
  • Component overhauls
  • Driveline repairs
  • Preventative maintenance services and repairs
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic with technical understanding in all aspects of heavy vehicle repairs
  • Ability to look outside the square and think critically
  • Reliable and punctual with attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of servicing and mechanical repairs to Kenworth, Mercedes, Isuzu, and Hino vehicles
  • Heavy vehicle license (highly regarded but not mandatory)
