Job Description

At Heavy Industrial Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Adelaide. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of 50 trucks, including Kenworth and Mercedes prime movers, and Isuzu and Hino rigids.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing and Maintenance: You will be responsible for carrying out regular servicing and preventative maintenance on our trucks to ensure they are running efficiently and safely.
  • Repair and Diagnosis: You will diagnose and repair electrical faults, steering and suspension issues, braking system problems, component overhauls, driveline repairs, and other mechanical issues.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of heavy vehicle repairs and a trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics is essential.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to think critically and look outside the square to find solutions to complex problems.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring all work meets the highest standards.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
