About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Employment Specialist to join our team at Workskil Australia Ltd. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting Ex-Offender or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander customers by providing intensive mentoring to ensure their transition into employment is successful and sustained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive mentoring to customers to ensure successful transition into employment
  • Work effectively with a culturally diverse range of clients, employers, and staff
  • Represent Workskil Australia to customers, funding bodies, employers, RTOs, Indigenous Communities, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and implement individualized employment plans to meet customer needs
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of employment services
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to represent Workskil Australia
  • Sound knowledge of the local labour market
  • Understanding of case management framework
  • Sales and customer service experience
  • Extensive working knowledge of federally funded employment programs and funding models
  • Experience mentoring Indigenous customers in employment
  • Experience working with ex-offenders in an employment or rehabilitation setting
