Vulcan, Australasia's highest performing metals distributor and processor, is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to join its team in Townsville.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse team from over 70 countries and more than 90 ethnicities, fostering a culture of inclusivity and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a background in sales or fabrication/trades and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with existing clients, and analyzing industry data to stay up-to-date with market trends.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting sales to clients and internal stakeholders, collaborating to achieve best outcomes for clients, and having an in-depth understanding of Vulcan services to cross-sell effectively.

Requirements for this role include experience in sales or a background in fabrication/trades, sound communication and negotiation skills, and intermediate computer skills.
