The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to drive the commercial health of our Australian operations. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for achieving Sales and Margin targets on all customers and developing plans to ensure the future profitable growth of the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target key retail and supermarket chains for product distribution, develop strategic sales plans to achieve market penetration and sales growth, and build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Manage end-to-end sales processes, including new customer acquisition, negotiations, contract management, and closing deals, to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Liaise with NPD managers to actively participate in new product development and launch based on customer requirements and insights gathered on the ground.
  • Work closely with the Category Head, Commercial & Site teams to manage the P&L, i.e., drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the Australian market.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You possess a Bachelor's or Honors' Degree in Food Science, Business Management, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in senior commercial roles preferably in FMCG, food retail, or food manufacturing.
  • A proven track record of selling into supermarkets and retail chains, with an established network within this segment in Australia is highly preferred.
  • You possess strong P&L management skills with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
