Branch Lending Specialist Role Overview

At Great Southern Bank, we're a customer-obsessed team dedicated to helping all Australians achieve their financial goals. As a Branch Lending Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our purpose by providing exceptional service and support to our customers.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time lending position based in our Brisbane CBD Branch. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers and their retail banking and lending needs. To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate a passion for learning, a willingness to challenge yourself, and a commitment to building strong relationships with our customers and community.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide expert advice on our lending products and services to help customers achieve their financial goals.
  • Work closely with your Branch Manager to promote the Great Southern Bank brand and purpose through strategic networking and business development activities.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of our lending and ancillary products, and adopt sales strategies aligned with the divisional business plan.
  • Meet or exceed performance targets, including sales performance and service standards.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced mortgage lender with a proven track record of success. You'll need to have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in mortgage lending or credit assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with all banking products.
  • Proven ability to network with key stakeholders and pursue leads and obtain business through network activities.
  • Self-motivation, drive, and results orientation, with the ability to apply cross-selling techniques for products and services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer and sales focus.
  • Ability to problem-solve complex financial problems.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong connections with your team.
  • Demonstrated exceptional stakeholder management.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. You'll also receive a range of benefits, including access to professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.
