The Role

We are seeking an experienced Employee and Industrial Relations Specialist to join our central Human Resources- IR/ER team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will provide industrial and employee relations leadership experience, strategic advice, and support to Workforce Management projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and apply various awards and collective bargaining agreements to provide expert advice on industrial relations matters.
  • Develop and implement solutions to enhance employee engagement and collaboration with project teams.
  • Liaise with specialist teams and the business to provide timely and accurate industrial and employee relations advice.
  • Provide weekly reports on the status of matters raised and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Maintain current knowledge of legislative changes and their impact on industrial relations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in industrial relations, employee engagement, and workforce management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to negotiate and deliver outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resource Management, Industrial/Employee Relations, Employment Law, or a related discipline.
