About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. As a key member of our Risk and Integrity Culture Section, you will play a critical role in building a positive risk and integrity culture across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement climate risk management strategies and programs to mitigate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on climate risk management best practices and policies.
  • Conduct entity-wide climate risk assessments and develop reports to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management frameworks and tools.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to build climate risk capability within the department.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in risk management, climate risk, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and facilitate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Knowledge of climate risk management in a government context, or transferable skills.
