We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team in the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. As a key member of our Risk and Integrity Culture Section, you will play a critical role in building a positive risk culture across the department.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Climate Risk and Opportunity Management Program (CROMP) to effectively manage climate-related risks and opportunities.
- Provide timely risk advice to departmental staff and stakeholders, including the Secretary and executive team.
- Conduct entity-wide climate risk assessments and coordinate CROMP and APS Net Zero disclosure requirements.
- Build climate risk capability in the department through training and development programs.
- Support the organisation with day-to-day risk management queries and processes.
- Proven experience in risk management, with a strong understanding of climate-related risks and opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to small and large groups.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to liaise with people at different levels.
- Sound judgement and a strong research, analysis, and problem-solving background.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
As a Risk Management Specialist in the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects and initiatives, including the development and implementation of the CROMP.
