About the Position
In this full-time role, you will report to the Business Development Manager for International Freight Management. Your primary focus will be to enhance Northline's International Freight operations by leveraging both existing and new sales channels. Collaborating closely with the IFM and broader Sales teams, you will identify and capitalize on International Freight opportunities within your customer and prospect portfolios while managing your own client base.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities in the international market.
- Managing and expanding a portfolio of Northline accounts.
- Achieving and surpassing sales targets and key performance indicators, including customer satisfaction and retention.
- Creating innovative sales strategies to propel business growth.
- Analyzing accounts within your portfolio to understand customer challenges and needs.
- Providing essential information and training to clients within your portfolio.
- Monitoring and reporting on competitor activities and industry trends.
Qualifications for Consideration
We seek candidates with a proven track record in building and nurturing key relationships in a sales environment. A solid understanding of the International Freight industry is crucial, along with experience in negotiations with customers and shipping agents. Knowledge of logistics and warehousing is highly desirable. You should possess strong business acumen and a comprehensive understanding of the International Freight landscape.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to deliver service-oriented solutions to customer challenges, along with advanced negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills. Self-motivation, resilience, and a history of meeting sales targets are essential. Exceptional presentation skills are required to effectively communicate high-impact proposals to diverse audiences. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and experience with CRM software are also necessary.
