About the Opportunity

Orchard Talent Group is seeking an experienced executive leader to join Mayfield Childcare as their Chief Executive Officer. As a leading provider of early childhood education and care services, we are committed to nurturing the growth and development of children across Victoria, Queensland, and South Australia.

The Role

We are looking for a strategic leader who can drive the overall success and sustainability of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for championing the execution of our long-term strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a positive organisational culture that aligns with our values.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a clear and compelling strategy for Mayfield Childcare, partnering closely with the Board of Directors to define strategic goals and identify growth opportunities.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to ensure high-quality service delivery across all centres, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Manage the organisation's financial sustainability, profitability, and operational efficiency through effective planning, cost control, and resource allocation.
  • Foster a positive organisational culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Represent the organisation in engaging with investors, government agencies, industry associations, and the broader community to enhance brand and market presence.

Requirements

  • Significant experience (10+ years) in a senior leadership role ideally within the childcare, education, or related human services sectors.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries; prior ASX executive experience is highly regarded.
  • A proven track record in managing complex operations and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a robust understanding of M&A, financial management, budgeting, and business sustainability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders to drive consensus and collaboration.
  • A proven track record in investor relations, ideally within a publicly-listed company.
