We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collections Officer to join our client's team in Melbourne CBD. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring that customers reduce their debts and find suitable solutions tailored to their financial situation.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6-12 months recent Call Centre, Phone-Based Customer Service experience within the last two years. Financial services, collections, or retention experience is beneficial but not essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contacting clients via phone, email, and SMS to assist with outstanding payments
- Working out payment plans based on customer needs and circumstances
- Maintaining accurate records of all collection activities and client interactions
- Collaborating with internal departments to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies
- Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining positive client relationships
To succeed in this role, you will require excellent active listening skills, a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, and a strong ability to empathise and provide tailored solutions. You will also need to be a natural conversationalist, comfortable thinking on your feet, and able to navigate multiple systems at once.
Australia or New Zealand Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid working visa are requirements for this position. You must also be available to work 37.5 hours full-time each week.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a salary of $52,000 per annum, plus superannuation benefits. The company provides a supportive and diverse team environment, solid training programs, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
