Zurich Insurance Company is on a mission to create a brighter future for our customers, employees, and the planet. We're seeking a talented Technical Portfolio Specialist to join our SME General Insurance team.

As a Technical Portfolio Specialist, you will play a critical role in identifying opportunities to drive growth and performance within our SME portfolio. You will work closely with our underwriting team to maintain underwriting and operational excellence across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine SME market position, including competitor proposition and pricing position.
  • Focus on customer solutions, using customer metrics to define propositions.
  • Identify portfolio underwriting strategies to maximize growth opportunities and mitigate underperforming segments.
  • Collaborate with the Platforms team to design and implement business rules to drive efficiency and automation within the SME segment.
  • Work with line of business heads to develop and enhance SME products and proposition.
  • Develop and deliver training to drive technical underwriting excellence and capability uplift across the SME underwriting teams.
  • Manage review and updating of underwriting guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of financial drivers of portfolio performance.
  • Strong technical experience in commercial underwriting.
  • Portfolio or product management experience.
  • Track record of developing and executing to deliver underwriting results.
  • Familiar with relevant LOB wordings and rating tools.
  • Ability to analyze data to develop ideas and test assumptions.
