Job Title: Therapeutic SpecialistAbout the Role

The ARISE model of care focuses on working collaboratively with care teams to deliver a holistic, coordinated response that meets the developmental, safety, and therapeutic needs of young people who use family violence in the home.

This involves targeted interventions for impacted family members and promoting the safety and wellbeing of young people and their carers. All interventions aim to address trauma and build capacity for emotional regulation through healthy attachment relationships.

The goal is to meet the young person's developmental and therapeutic needs while ensuring the safety of all members through improved family functioning and relationships.


The Therapeutic Specialist provides counselling and therapeutic group programs to address the impacts of family violence on young people and their parents/carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical leadership: Developing and implementing appropriate therapeutic support within the care setting
  • Working closely with professionals and parent/carers to develop trauma-informed therapeutic approaches for young people recovering from family violence
