**Electoral Integrity Specialist Role**

This role focuses on ensuring the integrity of elections in Australia.

The Australian Electoral Commission is responsible for maintaining electoral integrity, and this position plays a key part in achieving this goal.

As an Electoral Integrity Specialist, you will be part of the Indigenous Electoral Participation Program team. Your primary responsibility will be to direct and lead work with community partners to enhance First Nations electoral participation.

You will apply evidence-based practices to create resources, support legislative changes, and drive continuous improvement within the commission.

This role is part of the Branch Leadership Team and requires strategic thinking, proactive culture-building, and commitment to service design and human-centred outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver business outcomes, including business planning and partner engagement.
  • Lead a geographically dispersed team and develop internal relationships to provide insight on election services for Indigenous Australians.
  • Represent the agency's views in various forums, requiring travel to remote areas.

Key Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications include understanding issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and ability to communicate sensitively with them.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of policy development, implementation, and evaluation, as well as experience in managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to lead and manage staff during change, supporting a positive team culture and career development.
