Electoral Integrity Manager

The Australian Electoral Commission maintains an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management and efficient delivery of polling services.
The focus is on electoral integrity through values of quality, agility, and professionalism.
The International Engagement section supports international partnerships and programs to maintain electoral integrity.
We work in partnership with electoral management bodies (EMBs) in the Indo-Pacific region to deliver elections and build their technical capacity.
The AEC assists EMBs in our region as part of our broader remit to defend democracy. Section 7(1)(fa) of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 directs the AEC to provide international assistance in matters relating to elections and referendums.
As an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day matters, including election and referendum assistance to foreign countries or organisations, support on democratic reform agendas, program management, and managing international deployments.
The role involves undertaking complex and sensitive work, utilising expertise in engagement with internal and external stakeholders, participating in section planning, and aligning longer-term plans with agency goals.
Occasionally, international travel, work outside standard business hours, or additional duties at the time of an electoral event may be required.
