Community Support Role

This role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in your local community by conducting scheduled well-being phone calls. You will work closely with a team to provide reassurance and companionship to those who need it most.

The ideal candidate will have strong listening skills, empathy for older individuals and people with disabilities, and experience supporting the ageing community. A genuine desire to help others and promote social well-being is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular phone calls with assigned clients according to a scheduled roster.
  • Ensure shift coverage if unable to fulfill the commitment.
  • Accurately record data in our system (training provided).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of client records.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by older individuals and people with disabilities.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations or a similar setting.
  • A passion for promoting social well-being and community engagement.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
