Business Development Specialist
Description:We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships and daily industrial sales activities within Melbourne to achieve sales targets and sustainable profitable growth.
Your primary focus will be on growing your own territory in securing and increasing gas/liquid sales with new and existing customers. You will produce proposals, detailed costing, and contract documents to ensure all transactions deliver maximum profit to the business.
You will also manage relationships and contracts for all customers in your designated sales territory to ensure long-term and commercially profitable relationships. Additionally, you will complete all paperwork and reporting required by standard operating procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering or a trade background in Mechanical or Welding
- 1-2 years' experience in a sales role selling into industrial markets such as Food & Beverage, Automotive, Mining, or General Manufacturing
- Knowledge of the gas industry and safety requirements (desirable)
- Strong sales skills and understanding of the sales process for Key Account development
- Strong communication and presentation skills
