Reinsurance Specialist

We are seeking a talented professional to join our Reinsurance Administration team in our finance business unit.

This role offers a unique opportunity for growth and development, as you will interact with various stakeholders and contribute to our finance strategy and objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and numerical skills, with high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

  • Analyse and manage reinsurance claim and premium accounts according to Treaty Agreements.
  • Monitor monthly reinsurance data and information across different sources/systems, identifying risks and issues.
  • E nsure timely and accurate recovery and payment of reinsurance accounts.
  • Liaise with Reinsurers as required, assisting with queries to ensure accurate data reporting.
  • Monitor the Reinsurance Debtors report and proactively manage outstanding accounts.
  • Raise and support rectification of all reinsurance related issues relevant to your areas of responsibility.
  • Refer complex issues to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Reinsurance Operational processes.
  • Support and represent reinsurance on team and broader projects.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Accounting, Actuarial, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise urgent business needs.
  • Team player with strong relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to drive tasks to completion.
  • Positive approach to internal and external clients.
