Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Specialist to join our team. This key role will play a crucial part in delivering value for our clients through strategic management of investments, reinsurance, and capital.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Annual Reinsurance Renewal Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage the annual reinsurance renewal process, including strategies, procedures, marketing, and engagement with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Asset Optimization: Ensure the optimal management of the reinsurance asset through claims recoveries, commutations, and counterparty risk mitigation.
  • Process Enhancement: Continuously evaluate business operations, service delivery, and stakeholder needs to identify opportunities for improvement and develop enhancements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide input into papers/briefs for senior executives as required.
  • Cultural Ambassador: Act as a role model for company values and business line charter.

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Tertiary degree in a relevant field.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance operations across key functions.
  • Linguistic Knowledge: Understanding of insurance-based language for insurance and reinsurance arrangements.
  • Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively across teams, departments, and with external partners.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of reinsurance underwriting and/or claims management relevant to the Treasury Managed Fund.
