Technical Leadership Role for ANZ Solutions Engineering

About the Role

The Field and Partner Solutions Engineering Manager - Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) is a key leadership position at Zoom. We are seeking a dynamic leader with extensive experience in leading pre-sales engineering teams in Software as a Service (SaaS) vendors, with a strong emphasis on Unified Collaboration as a Service (UCaaS) and Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS).

This leadership role will be responsible for serving as the business partner to the Head of ANZ, as well as the ANZ Sales and Channel Leadership, and contributing to strategic planning, headcount growth, coverage models, and business strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a self-driven experienced leader who can work with the ANZ Solutions Engineering team to remove obstacles and allow them to focus on their priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the ANZ Field and Partner Solutions Engineering team
  • Set and execute the technical ANZ pre-sales direct and channels/partner strategy
  • Drive the Zoom vision, including in-person presentations at key customer and partner-facing events
  • Build business plans with ANZ sales, channel, customer success, and marketing cross-functional partners
  • Define and implement Zoom partner technical enablement and demand generation events
  • Coach and mentor both experienced and early-in-career team members
  • Handle business, technical, personnel, and customer escalations

Requirements

  • 3+ years leading a technical pre-sales direct and channels organization
  • Strong business acumen, presentation skills, and executive presence
  • Understanding of partners' businesses and how Zoom services can enhance their value proposition
  • Industry-competitive knowledge, including solution, technology, and product offerings from Microsoft, RingCentral, 8x8, Nice, Cisco Systems, and other vendors
  • Self-motivated, organized, and a strategic thinker with the ability to break down ambiguous/complex problems and deliver a cohesive recommendation
  • Typically requires a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or equivalent
