Transformative Business Development Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive impactful innovation and science across research boundaries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building strong partnerships by aligning stakeholder interests, identifying growth opportunities, and managing relationships to drive successful outcomes.

This role involves recruiting additional expertise as needed, either from within the organisation or through external partners, to support high-impact projects and revenue growth. You will facilitate cross-organisational opportunities within the research portfolio while collaborating with Business Development team members and Enterprise Units to enhance the overall opportunity portfolio.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a Partnerships and Business Development strategy that drives impactful innovation and science.
  • Provide confident guidance on the value of early engagement with partners to optimise the scope, scale, business model, and impact of research partnerships.
  • Partner with researchers across boundaries to grow the scale of partnering and business development activities, including research partnerships with universities, industry, and government.
  • Represent the organisation in engagements with relevant stakeholders and engage strategically with priority industry and government relationships.
  • Collaborate with Research and Enterprise Unit colleagues to ensure optimised business and commercial outcomes are negotiated and managed for all relationships.
  • Succeed project ideation, development, and execution through targeted activities.
  • Implement programs and initiatives to improve how the organisation engages with relevant stakeholders, industry, universities, and the broader innovation community.
