We are seeking a highly skilled Automated Packaging Equipment Specialist to join our service team.
This is an exciting and varied role that involves the maintenance servicing, breakdown support and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The successful applicant will be involved in regional travel throughout the state, as well as occasional interstate or international travel. This is a permanent position with opportunities for career advancement through our defined Pathway program.
- Promote technical skills through ongoing training and development.
- Work collaboratively with sales and technical teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- Install machinery and assist with the commissioning of new machines to customer requirements.
- Maintain internal relationships through effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
The Automated Packaging Equipment Specialist will be responsible for:
- Carrying out service work as specified in existing service contracts.
- Installing machinery and assisting with the commissioning of new machines to customer requirements.
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs.
- Executing modifications and upgrades of existing machines.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A mechanical trade qualification with restricted electrical license.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting skills (Low voltage 24vdc).
- Experience in the food industry with packaging and processing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with methodical approach to solving technical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals & drawings.
- Ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to technical, application and other related issues.
- Intermediate knowledge in MS Office with comfort using various Apps/software on associated devices.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Customer focused and able to work both independently as well as part of a team.
- A confident, self-motivated team player.
