Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Automated Equipment Specialist to join our service team. This exciting opportunity involves the maintenance servicing, breakdown support and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment for automated packaging and processing systems.

This is a varied role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail and effective communication. You will be part of a great team with opportunities to advance your career through ongoing training and development.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Carry out service work as specified in existing service contracts for automated packaging and processing equipment.
  • Install machinery and assist with commissioning new equipment to customer requirements.
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs of complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Execute modifications and upgrades of existing machines.
  • Maintain internal relationships with sales and technical teams through effective communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electrician or mechanical trade qualification with restricted electrical license.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting skills (Low voltage 24vdc).
  • Experience in food industry with packaging and processing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with methodical approach to solving technical issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals & drawings.
  • Ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to technical, application and other related issues.
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office with comfort using various Apps/software on associated devices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Customer focused and able to work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • A confident, self-motivated team player.
  • Driver's license.
