Our client is a global leader in packaging and processing equipment for the food industry.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Technician with expertise in automated packaging and processing equipment. The successful candidate will work as part of a service team, conducting maintenance, servicing, breakdown support, and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Regional travel throughout Victoria is involved, with potential occasional interstate or international travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out service work as specified in existing service contracts
  • Install machinery and assist with commissioning to customer requirements
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs
  • Execute modifications and upgrades of existing machines
  • Maintain internal relationships through effective communication
Requirements
  • Qualified Electrician with mechanical aptitude or mechanical trade + restricted electrical license
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting (24 VDC)
  • Experience with motor and drive technologies (servo motors) and PLC control technology
  • Strong computer knowledge, network structure, ethernet, EtherCAT and serial communication protocols
  • Experience in the food industry with packaging and processing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with methodical approach to solving technical issues
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals and drawings
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office with comfort using various apps/software on associated devices
  • Driver's license
