Hotel Reservations Representative

This role requires a professional who embodies the qualities of hospitality and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Hotel Reservations Representative, you will be the first point of contact for guests, handling their inquiries, reservations, and requests in a timely and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a reservations position, preferably in a hotel environment, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be proactive, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously in a high-pressure setting.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accuracy in reservations systems and databases. The successful candidate will also be able to handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly, while soliciting feedback to improve satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle guest inquiries via phone and email, assist with reservations, and provide information on accommodation options, rates, and amenities
  • Process bookings, payments, cancellations, and modifications in reservation software and prepare accurate arrival reports
  • Coordinate with departments such as housekeeping and maintenance to fulfill guest requests and ensure optimal room availability
  • Maintain accuracy in reservations systems and databases (e.g., OPERA Cloud, TravelClick, OTA extranets)
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly, soliciting guest feedback to improve satisfaction
Requirements:
  • A vibrant, friendly, and enthusiastic personality
  • Previous experience in a reservations position, preferably in a hotel
  • Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously in a high-pressure environment
  • Passion for delivering exceptional service and continuously improving processes to enhance guest satisfaction and profitability
