We are seeking an experienced Culture and Talent Strategist to join our senior management team in Hobart.

This is a key leadership role that will provide strategic support to the General Manager and be responsible for supporting the business in developing, reviewing and advising on P&C policies, procedures and initiatives.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and support across the employee lifecycle including culture and engagement, organisational capability, change management, talent & succession, employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment and on-boarding/off-boarding.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic support to the GM including business acquisitions, workforce planning, organisational design, organisational capability development and compliance.
  • Managing the employee lifecycle across all facets including recruitment, induction & on-boarding, performance, remuneration and off-boarding.
  • Managing the talent and succession process, working with managers to identify high potentials and succession to ensure the business is future proofed and that talent is developed in line with business needs.
  • Managing the health and well-being program across the business.
  • Educating and advising leaders and team members as required and initiating appropriate action to minimise adverse employee relations activity and ensure general compliance in relation to legislation.

Experience, knowledge and skills required include:

  • A strong background in human resources and people & culture management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to plan and prioritise work load and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and a flexible attitude and style.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess a deep understanding of human resources and people & culture management principles.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of human resources and people & culture management principles.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Advanced certification in human resources or related field.

Salary: $120,000-$130,000 plus Superannuation
