Job Description\

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Facilities Manager to join our Property Management Team in Blackburn. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing strategic oversight to 350 Salvos stores and 200 Family/Thrift stores.

Your primary objective will be to ensure that our tenant and landlord facilities management obligations are being met under the terms and conditions of the lease.

Key responsibilities include:

\
  • Providing strategic facilities management advice and support to other core property functions
  • Ensuring delivery of best-valued FM services that accommodate the needs of our retail stores while maintaining key relationships (internal/external)
  • Identifying property portfolio risks and capital expenditure requirements to ensure properties are safe and legally compliant
  • Managing operational rhythm of all planned and reactive maintenance ensuring landlord commitments are being satisfied
  • Ensuring compliance around tenant FM contractual obligations and landlord responsibilities - substantial interaction/negotiations with Landlords
  • Implementing cost avoidance savings strategies within our expenditure lease portfolio - consolidation of Planned & Preventative Maintenance
\\Required Skills and Qualifications\

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in facilities or property management, preferably in a state or multi-state portfolio of similar scale
  • Qualification in Building, Engineering, or Property-related management or a related Business discipline
  • Experience in establishing and refining facilities management services for a geographically dispersed national retail property portfolio
  • Strong background in FM or Property Management, with a strong understanding of general FM lease interpretation
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Strategic and results-focused approach with the ability to adapt within a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience in regularly analysing actual costs looking for ways to maximize savings and reduce reactive work
