Dairy Farm Supervisor

Description:

Our organization is seeking a Dairy Farm Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dairy farm operations and be able to manage and coordinate daily routines, including milking shed management and reproductive programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement plans for milk production, including pasture management and livestock feeding strategies.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of less experienced employees, such as assistant farmhands.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Operate and maintain dairy equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in breeding experiments to develop improved livestock strains.
  • Monitor animal health and wellbeing, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in dairy farm operations.
  • Strong knowledge of dairy farming practices and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
