A key role has become available within our prestigious dairy operation in the South Gippsland region of Victoria. As a Dairy Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the farm and staff rostering.

About The Position

Our focus is on achieving profitability and production targets each year, with high pasture and other feed utilisation whilst delivering a targeted farm surplus.

Key Requirements
  • Prior experience in large dairy herd management is essential.
  • You will need to possess strong people and project management skills, including excellent communication with contractors and external consultants.
  • An animal-focused approach is required, with a passion for breeding and working with elite Holstein cows.
  • Advanced bovine nutrition knowledge and experience working with TMR/PMR rations and mix development are necessary.
  • Cow health and basic veterinary diagnosis skills, including AI and breeding program management, are also required.
  • Familiarity with GEA Dairy Plan and CowScout software or similar is expected.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential.
  • You must be able to operate tractors and farm machinery.
Location

The farm is located near Leongatha in the South Gippsland region.
