About Us

Australian Red Cross is a leading humanitarian organization providing support and empowerment to people and communities in times of vulnerability.

We are seeking a skilled Humanitarian Case Manager to join our team at the Homelessness Service Hub in Townsville, QLD. This role will provide assessment and referral support alongside streamlined case management to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based case management strategies and principles, with experience in delivering case management services to vulnerable populations. They will also possess strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and referral support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk
  • Deliver case management services using a strengths-based and capacity-building framework
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with community groups, service providers, and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based case management strategies and principles
  • Experience in delivering case management services to vulnerable populations
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in MS Office and client databases

About the Role:

This role is part of our efforts to expand our homelessness programs in Townsville, allowing us to further grow our teams that provide support to people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk. The Homelessness Service Hub provides a range of information, support, housing, and specialist services to assist people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
