Job Summary

A Safety Expert Partner is required to champion a positive safety culture at our complex site.

This pivotal role within our SHEQ team involves partnering with leaders, employees, and contractors to drive safety ownership, simplify systems, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders to embed a positive safety culture.
  • Coach, mentor, and engage teams to maintain and improve safe behaviours and practices.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Simplify and enhance health, safety, and risk management systems for maximum effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications supported by demonstrated experience in safety critical workplaces.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong written communication skills.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to problem-solve, and adapt in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Proven capability to communicate, engage, and influence effectively at all levels across a diverse workforce.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, relevant codes of practice, and industry standards.
