Compliance Expert Opportunity
The Senior Advisor, Legislative and Policy Compliance is a pivotal role within the Risk Compliance & Audit Division of our organization. As a key compliance control function expert, you will be responsible for minimizing exposure and contributing to the capability and culture uplift in governance across the agency.
This integral position requires proactive relationship building and partnership development with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy are essential in delivering strategic objectives and ensuring compliance and statutory obligations are met.
You will join our Office of General Counsel Group and work within a dynamic team environment that fosters growth and professional development. This opportunity offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the people of New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to minimize exposure and risks
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Provide clear and concise advice that adds strategic value across Treasury functions
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting high standards and tight deadlines amid competing priorities
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive work experience in risk-based compliance and governance
Legal qualifications with experience in administrative, commercial or regulatory law (Desirable)
Ability to stay up-to-date with subject matter expertise and ensure alignment with current legislation in a dynamic environment
