About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our dynamic team in Ballarat as a Environmental Services Team Leader. In this key role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the delivery of top-notch cleaning and food services within the Environmental Services Department.

As a seasoned supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service. You will oversee the allocation of tasks, ensure work is completed efficiently, and meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-standard commercial and healthcare cleaning, with a solid understanding of industry best practices. They will possess strong teamwork and prioritization skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise, mentor, and train staff, fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork, welfare, and discipline.
  • Oversee the allocation of tasks, ensuring work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards.
  • Handle essential administrative tasks like ordering cleaning supplies, managing staff time sheets, processing leave requests, and ensuring incident reports are properly completed.
  • Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Contribute to and support various department projects as required.

  • Extensive experience in high-standard commercial and healthcare cleaning, with a solid understanding of industry best practices.
  • Ability to take responsibility and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and prioritization skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Clear and confident communication skills to interact with staff and stakeholders.
