Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist at Frankston Packaging Co plays a vital role in ensuring the production of high-quality products. This position is responsible for supporting the manufacturing process and maintaining consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Testing and Quality Control
Perform regular product testing at designated intervals and during machine/job startups to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Job Audits and Waste ReductionConduct thorough job audits to verify accuracy and report waste, identifying areas for improvement to optimize production efficiency.
Tool Management and Inventory ControlReview job jackets in process to confirm the availability and correctness of manufacturing tools, ensuring seamless production operations.
Defect Identification and RemovalSort internal and external product for defects, coordinate staging, removal, and inventory level changes to maintain product quality and minimize waste.
Training and DevelopmentAssist in training personnel on best practices for defect identification and new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) implementation, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Procedure Compliance and Root Cause AnalysisActively promote adherence to procedures and participate in root cause and corrective action processes to eliminate and reduce manufacturing defects.
Manufacturing Process SupportContribute to the overall success of the manufacturing process by providing support and expertise to production teams.
