Job Overview

About the Role

You will work within maintenance and construction teams across the region to ensure project specifications and work plan requirements for civil works are followed and implemented in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guiding, supporting, and influencing field-based teams to perform roles and works to WHS, traffic, environmental and quality standards, including accurate documentation of works checks and records.
  • Verifying that work activities are completed to quality specifications by following established procedures, performing measurements to confirm quality during and on completion of work, comparing results to engineering plans and contract requirements, and completing required records. This involves safety, environmental, and quality checks, audits, asset inspections, competency assessments, and staff/contractor inductions.
  • Guiding team members, leading work output as required, to develop capability, capacity, compliance, and process improvement.
  • Understanding and maintaining knowledge of WHS legislation, policies, and procedures, assessing, and controlling risks, records management, and industry requirements to minimize risk and model safe work behavior.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating within a civil construction environment or industry equivalent.
  • A current Construction Industry White Card and an unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver's licence.
  • A sound understanding of road maintenance and construction, and associated infrastructure.
  • A strong technical understanding of TfNSW quality specifications.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, and intermediate to advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite.
