We are seeking a seasoned maintenance professional to lead and supervise teams working on heavy earthmoving equipment. The successful applicant will have a strong track record of overseeing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in the field, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide hands-on support and mentoring to maintenance personnel, liaise with production and planning departments to prioritize work and minimize equipment downtime, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise teams working on heavy earthmoving equipment
  • Coordinate and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in the field
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company policies and procedures
  • Provide hands-on support and mentoring to maintenance personnel
  • Liaise with production and planning departments to prioritize work and minimize equipment downtime
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential:
  • G1, G8, G9 formerly (S1, S2, S3) and G2 supervising certificates
  • Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter or equivalent heavy vehicle mechanic qualification
  • Proven experience in a leading hand or senior field maintenance role within a mining or heavy industry environment
  • Strong working knowledge of large-scale mining equipment and field maintenance practices
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • High level of commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Current driver's licence and ability to work a rotating roster
  • Post-trade operational mine site experience
