Job Title: Disability Support Worker - Fitzroy

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Help at Hand Support Services in Fitzroy. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily living support to individuals with disabilities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, as needed.
  • Support individuals with disabilities to participate in community activities, such as shopping, social events, and recreational activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with individuals, their families, and other support networks.
  • Collaborate with other support workers and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
  • Cert III in Disability or equivalent experience.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid/CPR certificates (current).
  • Full and clean Australian driver's license.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest in working with people with disabilities.
Working Conditions:
  • Shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
  • Rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Must have a reliable and fully insured vehicle.
