Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Thumbnail Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for visual design and the ability to create engaging thumbnails that effectively convey the content and message of the video.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualization: Collaborate with content creators to develop creative concepts for thumbnails that accurately represent the video content.
  • Visual Design: Utilize graphic design software to create visually appealing thumbnails optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
  • Image Selection and Enhancement: Select compelling images from video footage or photoshoots and enhance them as needed to create eye-catching thumbnails.
  • Text Integration: Incorporate legible text elements such as titles, captions, and call-to-action phrases into thumbnail designs.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure consistency with the channel's branding guidelines, including color schemes, fonts, and logo placement, to maintain brand identity.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with current trends and best practices in thumbnail design and YouTube optimization.
  • Collaborative Approach: Collaborate closely with content creators, videographers, and editors to ensure thumbnails accurately represent video content.
  • Feedback Implementation: Efficiently implement feedback from the team, iterating on designs to align with branding and content objectives.
  • Coordination with Packaging Team: Coordinate with the packaging team to ensure thumbnail designs align with overall branding and packaging strategies.
  • Team Communication: Share ideas, feedback, and assets with team members to collectively contribute to the success of thumbnail designs.
  • Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality thumbnails in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Have 1-2+ years of experience creating IRL thumbnails and using Photoshop.
  • Evidence of previous high-quality Minecraft builds and designs.
  • Understand visual design principles for thumbnails, including composition and color theory.
  • Provide a portfolio or previous experience demonstrating proficiency in creating various thumbnail styles.
  • Ability to photo-manipulate and make changes in Photoshop to test elements, etc.
  • Possess strong communication skills and accountability when working with team members.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changes when necessary.
  • Able to understand and implement feedback to improve thumbnail quality.
  • Flexible in adjusting to changes in deadlines and creating emergency thumbnails.
  • Knowledgeable about creating realistic-looking thumbnails.
